RPJ Housing rang in the new year with the opening of 20 newly renovated units at our Mountain Oaks apartment complex in Front Royal.  We would like to welcome those residents who have already moved in to the first 7 of these units and we look forward to adding more residents to this promising community.

Despite significant challenges, RPJ Housing persisted in searching for the funding necessary to complete the renovations needed by this nearly 60 year old complex.  The major costs of renovation will be covered by the Virginia Housing Development Authority's (VHDA) Low Income Housing Tax Credits.  With the tax credits as equity, RPJ Housing has been able to replace the roofs and windows, install central air, and replace the siding.  Each of these terrific two bedroom units have brand new kitchen and bathroom appliance packages, cabinetry and counter tops, and some have been carpeted as well.  Currently 20 of the units have received a certificate of occupancy.  We plan to have Mountain Oaks Apartments completed by July of 2008.
