Affordable Rentals

There is a nationwide shortage of decent, safe and affordable rental units and RPJ Housing is trying to address that need. RPJ Housing currently owns 374 units of affordable rental housing for limited income individuals and families in the Washington D.C. metro area. Property Development

This division identifies properties to preserve as affordable rental housing, secures financing for acquisition and rehabilitation, keeps residents and community groups informed about preservation plans, and manages the renovation process. Transitional Housing

Transitional housing is a bridge between living in a homeless shelter and a permanent home. The goal of our transitional program is to provide a stable environment and the necessary support services so that those who are homeless or on the verge of homelessness can become independent and self sufficient. Volunteer Home Repair

Rebuilding Together (formerly Christmas & Sukkot in April) in Arlington and Fairfax Counties and in the Cities of Falls Church and Fairfax has been sponsored by RPJ Housing since 1988. This unique one day event is reminiscent of the barn-raising tradition of America's past. The next Rebuilding Project Day will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2008 and Sunday, May 4, 2008. Hearts and Hammers is a year-round volunteer home repair program that serves low-income homeowners, particularly persons with disabilities and older adults in Washington, D.C., Arlington, Fairfax, Falls Church and Winchester.To learn more about Hearts and Hammers, click here.
